“Classic hostel with a friendly staff!”
Staff was more than helpful in providing recommendations, saying hi, keeping the place clean, and being human. The house was very clean all around. Cozy and comfy! Great location! Everything you could need, even bikes to use!!

“Super cute and convenient!”
We were passing through and found Shady Spruce by chance. Since it was last minute we were lucky they had two bunks open in the coed dorm. Even as a couple we felt comfortable in the shared space. The house is lovely and convenient to downtown. They even had bikes we took to adventure around on! The house was very well laid out and everything was nicely done! We were impressed! The farmers market the morning we left was right across the street and free evening and weekend parking was right across form the house. Communication from the staff was also on point! It was as if they'd thought of everything. We'd definitely stay again!

“Absolutely loved it here”
The house was amazing and the owners were extremely friendly. The location is perfect and is really close to a few great places to eat. The house has free wifi and computers available for use, as well as a full kitchen. If I'm ever back in Missoula this will definitely be where I stay.

Wonderful proprietor! Could have told me that they've been open for a decade and I would have believed them, they had all of the amenities taken care of and were incredibly knowledgeable of Missoula and the surrounding areas!

Very welcoming staff and a nice, clean facility. Excellent stop if you want a conveniently located place to stay in Missoula. Stayed in the co-ed dorm and it was plenty comfortable. I'll be back if I'm in town.
“Beautiful Space”
Shady Spruce is comfortable, laid-back, respectful, and all around put together. This hostel puts in the extra effort to make you feel comfortable. There are small amenities all over the place to make you feel at home (e.g. extra change lying around for parking meters, complimentary ear plugs, several computers set up with wifi). The kitchen spaces are wonderfully designed and it was a pleasure to cook my own meals here. Please come support this great space in Missoula!
